Trusts - Jonathan Lea Network

A Trust is a legal way of managing assets, either money, property or investments for a third party. There are a number of reasons why it might be good to consider setting one up; either during your lifetime, or in your Will. You might want to control and protect family assets or look after assets for someone who is too young or incapacitated.

Once a Trust is set up and conditions are met the assets will no longer be owned by you. The ‘Trustee’ will own the assets you place in a trust. This makes it their responsibility to manage and run the Trust for the ‘Beneficiary’. This is the person who the Trust is held for.
