Sharing the love
At the Jonathan Lea Network we are always looking for ways to get involved with and support our local community.
Given several of the team have children at local schools and with this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week theme of ‘Express Yourself’, this month we were delighted to be able to provide a wealth of optimistic and enlightening new books to two local primary schools, Bolnore Village Primary and Warden Park Primary Academy.
In these difficult times we chose a selection of interesting kids titles that are full of positive ideas and aim to create an empowering mental attitude and foster a constructive and happy environment, as well as help them understand their emotions.
Both Bolnore Village Primary and Warden Park Primary Academy were very grateful for our donations.
Mrs Dodd from Warden Park Primary Academy said “We are very appreciative of your contribution, it is very kind of you”, while Mrs Taylor from Bolnore Village Primary School also added “We are delighted to receive the generous gift of these books from the Jonathan Lea Network. They will offer our children a way to make sense of their experiences and give them hope for the future. Reading adds so much to all our well-being and stories are especially impactful on children. Thank you.”
Jonathan Lea, Managing Director of the Jonathan Lea Network added “During these troubling times a lot of strain is being put on children’s mental wellbeing. The media is full of negative stories and alarming headlines. We felt we should do our bit to try and help influence local kids to remain upbeat and confident.”
