Dominic Reilly
Dominic has an intellectual property background and has worked on a range of both contentious and non-contentious matters. In particular, he has experience in trade mark prosecution and litigation, as well as the commercial aspects of the transfer of IP rights in the context of mergers and acquisitions. Dominic has also assisted clients with the protection of their brands online, including on major tech platforms, and has also worked on design right disputes and Protected Designation of Origin matters.
Before joining the Jonathan Lea Network, Dominic completed his training contract with Thomson Snell & Passmore and qualified on 1 March 2024. He undertook seats in the Dispute Resolution, Corporate & Commercial, Real Estate and Family departments assisting with a range of commercial disputes, acquisitions, commercial property transactions and financial and children matters.
He worked at Powell Gilbert prior to starting his training contract, assisting fee earners with technically complex multi-jurisdictional patent disputes in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, electronic, telecommunication, medical and energy industries, as part of its tier 1 patent litigation team.

Interests
After a previous career as a professional musician, Dominic continues to enjoy playing the drums. He is also a keen snowboarder and follows football and Formula 1, as well as keeping up with the world of politics.
